Chelsea forward Diego Costa's refusal to come back to preparing is "shocking", says previous Arsenal striker Ian Wright.

The 28-year-old, who is as of now in his local Brazil, said he has been dealt with like a "criminal" and needs to join previous club Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte messaged Costa in June to state he was not in his designs, but rather Costa says he has been advised to return and prepare with the stores.

"I don't see how players can escape with that conduct," said Wright.

Spain striker Costa was given additional time off by Chelsea a month ago, however now asserts he is being fined for his nonappearance and is thinking about lawful activity or seeing out the rest of the time of his agreement unpaid in Brazil.

"It's offensive the way he is acting," Wright disclosed to BBC Radio 5 experience's The Monday Night Club.

"Without a doubt he must return here, so if the director alters his opinion he's there. He's winning a fortune at Chelsea. Will Atletico Madrid even bear the cost of him?"

Costa, who last played for Chelsea in the FA Cup last in May, joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in 2014 and has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup with the London club.

In January, he was let well enough alone for the side for an away match at Leicester after he was engaged with a debate with a wellness mentor.

It took after reports of an offer from China that would have been worth £30m a year in pay.

"Is there any good reason why they won't let me go in the event that they don't need me?" he told the Daily Mail on Monday.

"In January, things occurred with the mentor. I was on the very edge of recharging my agreement and they put the brakes on it. I presume the chief was behind it. He requested that to happen.

"His thoughts are exceptionally settled and clear. I have seen the kind of individual he is. He has his own particular supposition and that won't change."

"Antonio Conte has let me know by message that I don't take after at Chelsea and that is it. Conte said he didn't rely on me for next season," said Costa in June.

That came after the Italian chief had sent a content to his players wishing them a decent occasion and instructing them to remain fit and Costa answered in a jokey way.

Be that as it may, Wright says he can't comprehend why Chelsea would need to dispose of a forward who scored 20 objectives in 35 Premier League recreations to enable the Blues to win the Premier League last season.

"Something has happened," included Wright, who played 33 times for England.

"For them to need to dispose of that sort of player, I can't see how that is come to fruition. I can't comprehend why you would dispose of unquestionably 20 objectives? It doesn't sound good to me."

Following the instant message trade with Conte, Costa said "I want to live in Madrid", regardless of Atletico being restricted from marking players until the point that the January exchange window.

"Why does it appear he is holding every one of the cards? He really needs to go, yet just needs to go to Atletico Madrid," included Wright.

"In the event that Chelsea need to dispose of him and get offers for a player they don't need, they're not going to take them?

"I might want to see the content. Demonstrate to us the content. At that point I don't censure him, since I would have the protuberance over that."

Costa stated: "I have not erased the message. In the event that individuals blame me for lying, I can demonstrate them. It was clear, saying that he didn't depend on me and wishing me the best for what's to come. Full stop."

Previous Chelsea and Republic of Ireland midfielder Andy Townsend says Conte disclosing to Costa he is not needed at the club resembles Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham advising their star advances not to return.

"Something different is going on," he said. "There's no rationale from Chelsea's perspective to dispose of him.

"You don't send him a content and say 'off you pop, we don't need you to return'. They don't do that. They don't simply turn round with one of their fundamental parts and say 'go and locate another club'.

"It resembles Jose Mourinho saying to Zlatan Ibrahimovic before he was harmed, Arsene Wenger saying to Alexis Sanchez, Tottenham saying to Harry Kane 'don't return'. It's the hardest thing to do, score objectives, and you can't bear to be that saucy with players like that."
