Travelers heading out to Lagos from Port Harcourt were on Monday morning captured by shooters.
Starting reports said that 5 of the travelers were captured, with police exposing reports that all travelers in the transport were abducted.
As indicated by Punch, the episode occurred at around 7.20am in Elibrada people group along the East-West Road, in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The criminals were said to have utilized trucks to make a barrier before shooting sporadically as the transport backed off.
A source however stated, no individual was discovered dead at the scene of the wrongdoing.
Waterways police order has said that three out of the five travelers captured have been discharged.
The Spokesman of the Police Command in the state, ASP Nnamdi Omoni, affirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt.
Omoni said five travelers were at first grabbed from the vehicle.
He said that the police was "over the circumstance" to guarantee that the staying two travelers were discharged.
Endeavors to talk with the Manager of the Transport Company in the state demonstrated fruitless as he was said to have gone with other administration staff to the scene of the episode.
In any case, an authority of the vehicle organization, who declined remark on the improvement, said the administration of the firm had moved to the scene of the episode to affirm the story.
In an instant message to Punch, Omoni stated: "Five travelers were abducted and three of them have been saved, staying two. We contended energetically to protect them at the danger of a firearm fight."
As at Tuesday morning, no contact has been made to groups of the casualties.
